Since 2006, GSM Transport Co. has been a cornerstone of Chicagoland intermodal container trucking, headquartered in Lemont, Illinois.
Our Story
Built on Chicago rails.
GSM Transport started in 2006 in Lemont, IL. Twenty years later we run about 40 power units, move around 15,000 containers a year, and interchange with all six Class I railroads under the UIIA. That's the whole company.
What we're actually known for is overweight intermodal: tri-axle chassis, axle-weight math, state overweight permits, and routes planned around bridge postings. Legal-weight boxes too — but the heavy ones are why customers call us.
